WinDEETS Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Turbo Client Systems, Inc. collects, uses, and protects information when you use the WinDEETS website (the "Site") and the WinDEETS desktop application (the "Software").

2. Information We Collect

On the Site: contact form submissions (name, email address, and message content you choose to provide); analytics, if you consent via our cookie preferences, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (pages visited, general location, device/browser type) — analytics is off by default and only runs after you opt in; cookies, strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function, and optional analytics cookies.

From the Software: anonymous usage telemetry, aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics that help us understand feature usage, not tied to your personal files or monitored system data; license verification, licensed installs periodically contact our servers to verify license key validity, no personal file data or monitored system data is transmitted as part of this check.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Software; respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form; verify license validity for commercial installs; and understand aggregate usage patterns, only where analytics consent has been granted. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and Consent

The Site uses a cookie consent manager that lets you choose whether to allow analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies, required for the Site to function, are not subject to this choice. You can change your analytics preference at any time using the "Cookie preferences" control in the Site footer.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following third parties to operate the Site and process payments: Stripe, for payment processing on commercial license purchases — Stripe handles your payment details directly, we do not store full card numbers; Google Analytics, for aggregate Site usage analytics, only when you've opted in via cookie preferences. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and license/verification records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing — for example, under the GDPR if you're in the EU/EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA if you're a California resident. 8. Children's Privacy

The Site and Software are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International Data Transfers

If you access the Site or Software from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
